I was reading the old testament when I realized, there is a lot of laws we don't follow that apparently we should. How is it that we overlook most of the old testament laws and say we strive to Christians?
Anyways i created this thread so we could discuss some old testament laws and whether we should or shouldn't be following them. Plus we need to talk about god as mush as we talk about battling and football.

Charity and I were talking about some of this the other day.
Of the laws that are in the OT, we as Christians don't have to worry about the ones that Jesus set aside in his teaching or his actions. Food laws and sacrifices are 2 that come to mind here.
We also don't need to deal with the civil laws, those providing punishment for crimes, such as stoning for adultery. Those applied to Israel, and we are not a Theocracy.
There is one other catagory that I am forgetting, so it will go here.
What then is left is the moral laws. Those are the ones that we still adhere to, the ones that are still valid.
Oh yeah, now I remember, its the cultural ones, wearing clothing of only one fabric, etc. Those applied to the context of Israel in the promised land.
Its the moral law that we need to follow still. Heck those are the ones that Jesus made harder...
